Are you looking for a part-time or full-time job? Are you a student looking to work this summer? We are currently looking for outgoing individuals who would like to join our cave crew! Our goal at Cave of the Mounds is to provide our guests with an entertaining and educational experience both above and below ground through excellent customer service, exhibits, activities, facilities, and interpretation while conserving our natural resources. By joining our team you get to be a part of this amazing geologic site and make lasting memories for our visitors. Please note that these positions include holiday and weekend shifts. Retail Associate

We are looking for people with a friendly personality who are comfortable engaging and interacting with guests. Our retail associates will assist in staffing our rock & fossil shop, receiving/ merchandising products, help guests crack open geodes, and help maintain the grounds via typical chores like dusting, mopping, cleaning restrooms. As a retail associate, you will need good conflict resolution skills and have a desire to work together alongside the cave crew. 

Cave Educator

Do you love interacting with people? Do you feel confident with public speaking? Do you have an interest in nature and caves? Do you like thinking outside the box and working together as a team? Well, then look no further and become a Cave Educator! You will get the opportunity to tell the story of the cave throughout all aspects of time. As a Cave Educator, you will get to interact with guests as they travel through the cave in a safe, fun, and educational environment. When you are not interacting with guests in the cave, you will assist in our amazing rock & fossil gift shop or help keep our buildings and grounds clean and orderly. The position has a wide variety of tasks and will keep you engaged all day long.

Parks & Gardens Maintenance Crew 

Do you love spending your time outside? Are you handy with a weed whacker, leaf blower, lawnmower, and other small engine tools? Do you enjoy maintenance duties such as painting, pest control, weed pulling, and more? Then this position is the right one for you. Our Parks & Gardens Crew will be responsible for keeping our grounds and gardens looking fresh and beautiful. This will involve working outside in all weather conditions and you must be able to walk/stand/kneel for extended periods, carry items up to 50lbs, and be able to use motorized equipment. Facilities & Grounds Maintenance Assistant

Are you an organized, self-motivated, hard-working, reliable, problem-solving individual? Do you have basic experience (or willing to learn) with plumbing, electrical, equipment maintenance, invasive species removal, grounds maintenance, snow plowing, light construction, and computer skills? Do you like working in a team and independently on projects? Do you like interacting with customers in a tourism environment?
